UPS opens new branch in Brenz: 160 jobs for Schwerin!

Brenz, Deutschland - On July 17, 2025, UPS opened a new and impressive branch in Brenz, south of Schwerin. This modern system is not only a profit for logistics, but also a real job engine for the region. Around 160 new jobs in various areas such as sorting, delivery, administration and technical support are now available, which is a joyful occasion for people here.

with a total area of 5200 square meters, of which 4,600 square meters of indoor and 600 square meters of office and social spaces are, the branch offers sufficient space for the required infrastructure. The system is well equipped: up to 20,250 packages can be processed in two layers every day, with an impressive sorting output of up to 4000 packages per hour. A total of up to 60 parcel vehicles and 13 trailers can be accommodated here - this is a real plus for the logistics chain in the region.

A step to shrink the fallow land

It should be emphasized that a 1.5 hectare fallow land was reactivated for the construction of the new UPS branch, on which about 5000 tons of old tires were stored. This project not only contributes to the economic revival, but also to ecological. A team of biologists was hired to preserve biodiversity throughout the process. In addition, the electricity of this modern system comes from regenerative sources - an important point for environmentally conscious consumers.

The new UPS branch complements the existing centers in Lübeck and Güstrow, both of which are still active. This covers a comprehensive service area, which extends the region from Neuruppin via Wittenberge and Hagenow to the Baltic Sea (except Wismar). This expansion is viewed as a significant impulse for regional development, since it not only creates jobs, but also improves the logistical connection in the region.

The parcel shops on site

In Schwerin itself there are currently two UPS Access Point locations that are comfortably near the customers. There can be kept there for up to seven days, which also makes the collection process easier. When picking up, the submission of an ID document is required, which is why it is advisable not to forget the ID card. The opening times of the parcel shops vary so that a prior review is advisable to avoid unnecessary ways. This shows again how UPS tries to make the processes for customers as smoothly as possible and to ensure that logistical solutions are also available on site.

The opening of this new branch shows that UPS looks with a good hand for structured planning and environmental awareness into the future. There is really something for the Schwerin region and its residents!
