On July 13th the time has come: The Munich big band “Jazzrausch” will be releasing their new album “Bangers Only!” perform at the Greifswalder Kulturbahnhof (KuBa). At this special event, the band will present their unique sound of disco, funk and techno elements, blending the boundaries between different musical genres in an exciting way. The event is part of the “Not Quite Classic” festival series, which is celebrated as part of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Festival. This festival is celebrating its 35th anniversary this summer with 136 concerts involving over 250 soloists and ensembles, as the Ostsee-Zeitung reports.
“Jazzrausch” consists of around 20 talented young musicians and tours internationally with around 80 performances per year. The concert in Greifswald not only marks the band's performance, but also the inauguration of the new Kulturbahnhof as a concert location. Standing tickets for the event cost 40 euros, reduced prices are available for 20 euros. If you are already interested in buying tickets, you should hurry up because demand is high.
Cultural highlights and sold-out concerts
The MV Festival is offering a variety of events this summer. On July 4th there will be a concert by the Hamburg Philharmonic State Orchestra under the direction of Kent Nagano. The 1,000 tickets for this event are now sold out. Another highlight is the concert with star violinist Daniel Hope, which will take place on August 30th in the Marienkirche in Anklam and is also completely sold out. On July 26th, music lovers can experience Beethoven's Symphony No. 6 in the Greifswald Cathedral of St. Nikolai with the chamber orchestra Ensemble Reflexionor under the direction of Valentin Egel. Tickets for this concert are currently still available in the price categories 25, 35 and 45 euros.
A very special concert
According to Kultur MV, the “Jazzrausch” concert will take place without a break. It takes place at the end of the semester and promises to be an unforgettable experience for all listeners. Jazzrausch pursues with their current album “Bangers Only!” the approach of combining jazz with elements of techno and classical music, which makes the performance particularly exciting.
