A serious traffic accident caused a stir near Barth this morning. At around 7:45 a.m. there was a serious collision between a truck and a car on State Road 21. The 48-year-old driver was critically injured Baltic Sea newspaper reported.
The accident occurred when a 34-year-old truck driver ignored the driver's right of way. He was driving on Küstrower Straße from the direction of Rubitz and wanted to cross Landesstraße 21. As a result, there was a collision in the intersection area, which had dramatic consequences for both the car driver and the truck driver. The rescue workers were on duty and a rescue helicopter was called in to treat the injured woman.

The vehicles were no longer drivable due to the impact and had to be safely recovered. According to estimates, the material damage is around 20,000 euros.
