Four hotels in MV receive the coveted Michelin Keys 2025!

On November 8, 2025, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania will be pleased to receive a particularly brilliant award: The Michelin Guide has chosen the most outstanding hotels in Germany. This year, four first-class hotels in our beautiful state have been awarded a Michelin Key. A total of 130 hotels across Germany received top marks - a sign that the hotel industry is very popular in this country.

The four award-winning hotels in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania are:

  • Roewers Privathotel in Sellin
  • Boutiquehotel Nixe in Binz
  • Grand Hotel Heiligendamm
  • Strandhotel Fischland in Dierhagen

A look at the awards

The Michelin Keys have been awarded for outstanding hotel stays since 2024 and are modeled on the gastronomic counterpart, the Michelin stars. In Germany, six hotels were able to win the highest award with three keys, while 34 hotels were awarded two keys and 90 hotels were awarded one key. In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Roewer's private hotel and Strandhotel Fischland in particular can proudly boast a key.

The Roewers Privathotel is a luxurious five-star hotel with 52 rooms and suites that pampers its guests with gourmet cuisine and a spacious wellness area. The Strandhotel Fischland, with 65 rooms and many sporting leisure options, is also convincing. The magnificent Grand Hotel Heiligendamm, known for its elegant interior and extensive wellness complex, once again shows the diversity and excellence of our region.

Charming boutique hotel Nixe

Another jewel among the award-winning hotels is the boutique hotel Nixe in Binz. Housed in a stylish Art Nouveau villa from 1903, this small hotel with just 16 rooms offers breathtaking views of the Baltic Sea and personalized service that leaves nothing to be desired. It is the ideal destination for anyone looking for a special break.

The hotels are evaluated according to five criteria: architecture, service quality, personality, price-performance ratio and the connection to the cultural environment. This shows once again that the Michelin Guide not only stands for culinary highlights, but also values and supports the hotel industry. This is also confirmed by the information from Michelin, which has around 7,000 hotels worldwide in its database. Many of these houses are characterized by exceptional architecture and a high level of comfort, which makes the decision to stay easier.

The joy of the awards is not only great for the hotels themselves, but also stimulates the tourism sector in the region. More and more travelers are looking for unique experiences and relaxing stays that bring them closer to the beauty of our surroundings. The latest version of the Michelin Guide app, which invites you to discover and book first-class accommodation, supports travelers in their search for the perfect hotel.
