Morten Harket admits: I live with Parkinson's - my daily fight

Morten Harket, the 65-year-old singer of the famous Norwegian pop band A-HA, made his Parkinson's disease in a recent interview. According to a report by Gala Harket kept the diagnosis secret for fear of the reactions of his public. In a conversation with the Norwegian journalist Jan Omdahl, he talks about the challenges that the disease brings.

Parkinson's disease arises from the loss of dopamine-producing cells in the brain. This leads to impairments in movement and communication between neurons. Morten Harket was born in 1959 and became known as the front man of A-HA, which was founded in 1982. With hits like "Take on Me" and "The Sun Always Shines on T.V." he achieved worldwide celebrity. His most successful solo album outside of Norway, "Out of My Hands", reached third place in Germany.
