News about the Viadrina: Dual Bachelor program starts 2025!

Frankfurt (Oder), Deutschland - On May 30, 2025, the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) announces exciting innovations for those interested in study. From October 2025, the university will offer a number of courses that are characterized by socially relevant career paths and international perspectives. The newly introduced dual Bachelor program in Business Taxation, which goes over a period of seven semesters, is particularly remarkable and combines both theoretical training in the tax system and practical experience in tax advice.

For the winter semester 2025/26, the enrollment begins on June 2, 2025. A total of 15 admission-free study places are available in the new program, whereby the application is made directly via the practice partner company, supported by the Viadrina.

courses and funding

The university also emphasizes that no tuition fees are incurred for all basic and non-progressive courses. Viadrina is currently presenting a comprehensive offer that includes 10 Bachelor and 15 master's degree programs. This also includes the Jura state examination, economics and the Master in European Studies. An additional highlight are the 13 double programs with international partner universities that offer students the opportunity to acquire two degrees.

Interested parties can visit an open house on June 25, 2025 to get to know teachers and explore the campus and the city. For the trial study event, which takes place from June 6 to July 7, 2025, interested parties can register by email to get insights into study life.

internationality and dual courses

In parallel to the Viadrina, the Baden-Württemberg (DHBW) dual school offers numerous ways to complete part of the course abroad. The DHBW works with over 200 international universities and thus also promotes the exchange and intercultural competence of its students. Apprenticeship achievements provided abroad can usually be appreciated at the DHBW study academies. The students can also apply for scholarships from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

The dual study, which combines the theoretical training at universities with practical units in companies, offers students valuable professional experience during their studies. This form of study is widespread in Germany and enables financial protection through remuneration. The students not only acquire practical skills, but also a high degree of resilience and international experiences.

The prerequisites for a dual study of study usually include very good knowledge of German and a degree that corresponds to the German university entrance qualification. The application phase is important, which can be used up to 18 months before the start of the course.

With these offers, the European University Viadrina and the DHBW not only want to promote future generations of students, but also prepare them for the challenges of a globalized world of work.
