In the early morning hours of June 1, 2025, a patrol crew by the Linz police noticed a car that was uncertain on Römerringstrasse in Rheinbrohl. The 56-year-old driver drove into snake lines and even ran over restricted areas, which immediately attracted the attention of the officials.

During the check, it turned out that the man from the Bad Hönningen community was under the influence of alcohol. A breath alcohol test resulted in a value of over a per thousand. The police ordered a blood sample and confiscated his driver's license. The driver now has to answer in a criminal proceedings that may lead to withdrawal of his driver's license.
