On Wednesday, June 11, 2025, the Northeim police pulled out two drivers out of the traffic, who were apparently under the influence of drugs. The first controls that took place around 1:50 p.m. already indicated neurological abnormalities that indicate drug use.

The second control occurred at 3:20 p.m. on Göttinger Straße, where a 24-year-old Northeimer was tested. The urine test posed positively to THC, which caused a blood sample to be removed. The police thus set a clear sign against drug risks at the wheel.
