Motorcycle accident on the A4: seriously injured driver and 6 km traffic jam!

A dramic motorcycle accident shook the BAB 4 between Hönbach and Friedewald on Thursday! Shortly after 12:45 p.m., a 60-year-old driver wanted to switch on the left lanes from near Siegen. In doing so, he incorrectly assessed the distance to a Polish truck and crashed into its trailer with full force.

The impact was so violent that the motorcyclist lost and fell. With serious injuries, he was immediately flown to a nearby hospital with a rescue helicopter. For the rescue work, the direction of travel was completely closed for three hours, which led to a monster -length traffic jam of six kilometers. The property damage is estimated at around 10,000 euros. An expert from the public prosecutor's office is already on site to clarify the exact circumstances of the accident.
