Alcohol and tobact test purchases: Police raise the alarm in Schorndorf!

On Wednesday, the police in Schorndorf carried out a comprehensive test purchase campaign to review compliance with youth protection regulations. Between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. in 60 sales outlets, including supermarkets, kiosks and petrol stations, alcohol and tabulous purchases by five young people, accompanied by police officers. The officials found that 20 businesses were violated in 20 businesses. Despite an improvement compared to the last check in May 2024, the young people managed to get to the forbidden goods in every third case.

The sellers in the shops were informed about the results, and 40 of them received praise for correct behavior. Legal proceedings were initiated against the 20 responsible persons who disregarded the age restrictions. At the same time, the police were informed about a vandal act: unknown scratched a VW in Tulpenweg at night and caused damage of around 1000 euros.
