On Tuesday afternoon, May 27, 2025, Umeln in Bielefeld came to a rear -end collision in which a driver was slightly injured. The 27-year-old driver of a Skoda Karoq was in the roundabout on Brockhagener Straße when a 49-year-old driver of a VW van on his vehicle.

Fortunately, the Romanian driver was not injured, but a small property damage to the left vehicle front was caused by the VW. The entire property damage is estimated at around 30,300 euros. The police blocked the scene of the accident for an hour, while the SUV was recovered by a tow vehicle. The fire brigade and a rescue helicopter were alerted due to a separated e-call emergency call, but no further rescue measures were necessary.
