The construction site is located on a busy road, about 250 meters from the main train station. The building was originally badly damaged in the Second World War and then rebuilt in 1949. A general renovation took place in 1974. The general local health insurance (AOK), which sold the building to Art-Invest in 2022/2023, owned the building for decades.
