Armed robbery in Bergheim: perpetrator demands cash and cell phone!

The Rhein-Erft-Kreis police are looking for a suspected robber who is said to have attacked a 30-year-old in Bergheim on Wednesday evening, June 11th. The perpetrator, about 18 years old and 160 to 165 cm tall, addressed his victim on a footpath between Kölner Strasse and Südweststrasse. He threatened the man with a knife and demanded cash.

Since the injured party did not react, the unknown snapped his cell phone and fled towards Kölner Strasse. The attack occurred around 11 p.m., and the victim immediately alerted the police after the incident. The search was dressed in a black jogging suit with white elements, a black hood and a baseball cap with a white emblem at the time of the crime. The investigators are now hoping for information from the population.
