Party on Sylt escalated: Police are fighting drugs and attacks!

On the Pentecost weekend in 2025 there was intensive celebration behavior on Sylt, which the police presented with considerable challenges. The officials had to act more against drug and alcohol excesses as well as assault. Although the weather was bad, the celebrants did not stop visiting the island. Numerous expensive cars and luxury sedans parked in front of the celebration locations, which reflected the upscale clientele of the party scene. The police reacted with increased presence and numerous controls, supported by customs officers.

How the MOPO reported, an investigation was initiated due to sexual abuse. An incident in a club was particularly alarming, where a woman presumably administered K.-O. drops and she was then victims of sexual assault. The police also recorded various bodily harm and carried out traffic controls at several locations to pull drunk -driving people out of circulation.

As part of the controls, almost 700 vehicles were checked from May 17 to 2024. Those responsible recorded 255 breath alcohol tests and 96 drug tests. The Sylt1.tv rewarded the efforts of the police: 13 drivers were stopped by 17 drivers with an alcohol value over 1.1 per thousand, with the highest measured concentration in 3.0 celebrities.
