Politics with skin and hair: Mannheim nudist trip causes excitement!

Cap d'Agde, Frankreich - Julien Ferrat, City Councilor of the Voter Association "Die Mannheimer", has awakened a lot of interest with his call for the "Political Education Travel to Cap d’Agde". The journey, which leads to one of the most famous nudist systems in France in August, combines the topics of nudist and swinger culture with political education. Until the registration period on May 31, 75 reported, 22 gave a binding promise. In the group there are 14 men and 8 women, including 6 participants from Mannheim, 3 from the Rhein-Neckar-Kreis and 2 from the Rhein-Pfalz-Kreis, supplemented by interested people from Berlin, Rostock and other regions of Germany. According to ksta.de no travel expenses were taken over for the trip, the participants have to take care of their finances themselves.

Ferrat has already reserved a hut for ten people in the FKK facility Village Naturiste, which is primarily intended for Mannheim participants. Other participants should find their own accommodations. In addition, a “training camp with outdoor sex on the nudist beach” is planned in Mannheim, which causes some criticism. The city council sees this journey as an alternative to traditional political trips. According to the Ferrat, the journey is on the key question: "What can the city of Mannheim learn from the city of Agde?" mannheim24.de "Burned brain" and described harmful to politics. The city administration has so far not given an official statement.

criticism and support

The critical voices from the CDU reflect a deeper social debate about nudity and sexuality in politics. Ferrat, a 33-year-old studied social scientist and a single city council, has already surprised the public with a nude photo article in the Official Journal in the past and is committed to closeness to the citizens and freedom of expression. The response to his educational idea shows that interest in topics around nudist and sexual openness is growing. This tendency also finds its historical context in the free body movement, which came up in Germany as early as the 1920s and was shaped by a desire for a life "back to nature", which reflects guiding principles of the life reform movement. ndr.de describes the social aspects of this movement, the physical upgrading and a vegetarian lifestyle propagated.

The connection between the nudist and political education may be new for many, but the roots of this culture are deeply rooted in German history. The nudist movement experienced numerous ups and downs over the centuries, especially during National Socialism when leisure and nude culture was severely restricted. Nevertheless, the movement has survived in different forms and today finds new expression, as the symbolically charged plan of Ferrat shows.
