440,000 euros for Halle: Digital projects start!

The digital transformation is no longer an empty word, it is now also tackled in Halle (Saale). On July 16, 2025, Dr. Lydia Hüskens, the Minister for Infrastructure and Digital, grant notices of around 444,000 euros. These money flow to the city of Halle and three local companies and are part of the "Saxony-Anhalt Digital 2030" strategy, which was only launched in September 2023. Mayor Egbert Geier warmly welcomed the minister in the town house and celebrated the many options that arise from this funding.

A total of four exciting projects are supported by the new funds. Among other things, the project "Hal-City: Data-based inner city management" receives a grant of 120,000 euros. The idea behind this project is to develop a central, data -based control platform, which is to be built from November 2025 to the end of October 2026. This platform will make it possible to monitor the vacancy, company occupation and the diversity of industry in the city center. Not only the city administration, but also traders, the real estate industry, citizens and political bodies are involved

innovations and new work rooms

Another winner of the funding is Flying Circus Internet Operations GmbH, which also receives 120,000 euros in order to build a local, data protection-compliant AI laboratory. This not only takes an important step towards innovative technologies, but also creates a place that stands by startups and projects in the use of artificial intelligence. The completion is planned until June 2026.

A lot is happening in the transport sector. The Stradis Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH has received 103,950 euros for the project Signal-AI. A cloud native AI platform is being developed here, which is intended to automatically record and classify traffic and signal signs-a project that should be completed by the end of the year.

For everyone who likes to work in creative and community environments, the endless Industries KG will build a coworking space. Its facility costs 99,100 euros and should be ready for use by June 2026. There will be ten fully equipped jobs on an area of around 100 m² that offer great opportunities for creative minds.

prepared for the digital future

The projects mentioned are in the context of the comprehensive state strategy "Saxony-Anhalt Digital 2030", which pursues over 150 destinations for the digital transformation of society, economy and administration. This strategy aims to put people at the center of digitization and offer society a noticeable added value. The overarching cooperation between different departments is very important. Among other things, public reports on the progress of implementation are planned annually, which increases transparency and integrates the citizens into the process.

In addition, the support compass has a useful source of information that offers an overview of various funding programs. At this point, small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) are particularly addressed that require support in digital (new) orientation. There are also central contacts for the respective funding opportunities, which makes access easier.

With these supportive measures, Halle (Saale) is now well equipped to further gain drive in the digital world. The scene is ready and it remains exciting which innovative solutions and business models will result from this support. It is clear: digitization also takes a big step forward in Halle.
