Tangermünde, Deutschland - The Altmark celebrates a very special event: From August 9 to November 5, 2023, the 30th Music Festival Altmark takes place. This anniversary, which is organized by the Salzwedel and Stendal counties, brings a total of 40 concerts on the stage that music lovers will attract from near and far. It continues on August 17th with "The Thought Garden" by Toni Geiling in the Diesdorf open -air museum. Another impressive event is the festival concert on November 1st in the Grete Mine Hall in Tangermünde, which is under the motto "Sand and Sound-30 years of music festival in the Altmark". The sand painter Natalia Moro will also appear on this special occasion.

Special attention is also paid to the younger generations: There are special programs for primary school children under the motto "Music lessons in a different way", in which the Leipzig symphony orchestra will appear at schools in the two counties.
