The water temperature on the opening day was a pleasant 24 ° C, perfect prerequisites for a relaxing day outdoors. The outdoor pool offers a variety of attractions: a 25 -meter -long swimming pool with diving towers for the brave, a lovingly designed children's area with a water fountain and wave slide as well as a beach volleyball field and a new children's playground. The outdoor pool in Elberitzstrasse looks back on an impressive history of 120 years. The decision to build the outdoor pool was already fell in 2020 when the old bathing complex was classified as in need of renovation. The construction work on the Neue Delitzscher Elberitzbad started in 2023 and have now come to a degree. With total costs of 24 million euros, it is the largest construction project in the history of the city of Delitzsch.

For everyone who has not yet visited the outdoor pool, a summer festival is planned for the official opening of the entire Elberitzbad at the end of July 2025.
