The dangers on country roads
These two incidents highlight the dangers associated with driving on country roads. Overtaking maneuvers, especially in tight curves or in confusing situations, put the safety of all road users at risk. It is important that young drivers in particular are aware of the risks and always pay attention to traffic conditions. The 28-year-old's accident, when he was confronted by an overtaking truck, could easily have had an even worse ending.
The police appeal to all road users to drive with foresight and responsibly to avoid such unfortunate incidents. In times when many people are traveling more often again, it is more important than ever to keep an eye on road safety. It is up to each individual to do their part to make the roads safer.
