2,000 new trees for the Hohe Holz: climate protection in Oschersleben!

Something is happening in the Hohes Holz - there is a lot of reforestation going on here! Last week, the German Forest Protection Association (SDW) launched a remarkable campaign. A whopping 2,000 young trees were planted to help the region blossom again and make an important contribution to climate protection. This is reported by the People's voice.

The campaign was supported by forest and district forester Jens Strebe, who contributed valuable expertise. “It is important that we take action together to increase biodiversity and ensure the quality of life for future generations,” said Strebe. The active helpers also included employees of the Kreissparkasse Börde, who volunteered and thus set a good example of social commitment.

Financial support and future plans

The Kreissparkasse Börde supported the planting campaign with a check for 10,000 euros, which was used to finance the 2,000 seedlings. Chairman of the board Markus Latz presented the check to the regional manager of the SDW, Anne-Katrin Blisse. This is essential support that helps strengthen landscape and environmental protection.

Speaking of the future: The next planting campaign is scheduled for November 22nd, during which a further 5,000 trees will be planted as part of a cooperation with the Saxony-Anhalt state parliament and Deutsche Post. Commitment to nature seems to be very popular in the region!

Films full of complications

While nature reigns supreme in our backyard, we also take a look at two extraordinary films that are also making waves in the world of romantic comedies and dramas. For example, there is “See You in the Morning”, a work by Alan J. Pakula from 1989. In this moving film, the protagonist Beth Goodwin, played by Alice Krige, struggles to rearrange her life after the tragic death of her husband and finds solace with psychiatrist Larry Livingstone, for which her life takes a surprising turn. Critics agree on the actors' performances, even if the script is not without its flaws. You can find out more about the film on Wikipedia).

Another example from the genre is “Before Sunset”, in which the protagonists Céline and Jesse meet again in Paris nine years after their first meeting in Vienna. Here, viewers experience an intensive conversation about love, disappointments and personal developments in just 80 minutes. The film shows how both characters have changed despite their supposedly unchanged facade. For more details, the most important information can be found here.

Whether it's nature on your doorstep or the complex world of emotions in film and television - it remains exciting to see what the future has in store for us. Because one thing is clear: standing up together for a better planet or letting ourselves be captivated by moving stories, these are topics that concern us all!
