Last weekend the atmosphere was great when the first Börde Cup 2025 opened its doors. Two days full of sport and excitement were on the agenda, and the spectators were thoroughly entertained with thrilling handball matches and numerous attractions. Loud Sports news Hildesheim Teams competed against each other in different leagues and cups, which made the Börde Cup a varied event.
The women's team from TuS Altwarmbüchen viewed the tournament as a successful start. They won with 6:0 points and an outstanding goal difference of +25 goals. Sportsfreunde Söhre and HSG Nord Edemissen/Uetze followed in second and third place. In the second men's SG Börde, which won the Sausewind B-Cup, the success turned out to be just as promising.
At the K&K B Cup, the winners were also able to choose the first four prizes, which made the atmosphere even more festive.
Exciting matches and game results
The games in the men's Hirsch-Apotheke A-Cup were no less exciting. Here the 1st men's team of SG Börde (Oberliga) emerged as clear winners with 8:0 points, followed by HSG Deister Süntel and HSG Rhumetal II, who also showed good performances. In addition, the MTV VJ Peine managed to triumph after being 11:15 behind against SG Börde in the Rollet Haustechnik A-Cup and took first place with 6:0 points. The remaining places in this category went to SG Börde, SV Germania Fritzlar II and HSG Liebenburg-Salzgitter.
This all happened in a festive atmosphere, where the tombola on Sunday was sold out with over 2,000 prizes, and the supporting program also impressed young and old. The organizational team around Vanessa Walenda has shown a good hand and has already announced the continuation of the Börde Cup for next year.
An entertaining supporting program
Many exciting games took place on Sunday. So it came to a crowning conclusion with a derby between Borsum and HüMaxx, which was watched by numerous spectators. Against the backdrop of sunny weather, a 21 meter high climber provided great views, a bouncy castle for the little visitors and refreshing slushy ice cream ensured they could cool off. Physical well-being was ensured with a wide range of grilled and chilled food. Here the event benefited from the lively community of handball fans.
In addition, the exciting atmosphere could also be felt through the group games of the various teams - such as the last group game of the “Aura Pflegedienst” group between TUS Lühnde and Grün-Weiß Himmelsthuer, which took place at lunchtime, as well as the meeting between TG Hildesheim and Teutonia Sorsum later in the afternoon.
With the Börde Cup, a new tradition was born that not only celebrates the joy of handball, but also strengthens the community. How FSV Aligermissen reported that the spectators were not left behind and were also well entertained by many attractions in and around the playing field. Anyone who is already looking forward to further sports highlights in handball can look forward to the next edition of the Börde Cup - and perhaps then the tournament will not only be played for the points, but also for the hearts of the spectators!
