HSG Plesse-Hardenberg: Draw in the duel against SG Börde!
In the handball league, HSG Plesse-Hardenberg remains unbeaten after the fifth matchday. But the home premiere ended last Sunday with a 24:24 draw against SG Börde Handball. An exciting game that kept the spectators on the edge of their seats until the last second.
The start was already promising. The guests from Börde led 8:5 after 20 minutes, but Plesse was able to go into the locker room at halftime with a narrow deficit of 11:12. Despite difficult conditions due to illness and ailing players, including Maike Rombach, who stepped in at short notice, the HSG showed a strong defensive performance. Coach Tomislav Zidar was quite satisfied with the team's progress and performance, even if there was a perceived loss of points.
Exciting seconds and unused opportunities
The second half started promisingly for Plesse, who immediately broke away with a 4-0 run and led 23:20 in the 54th minute. But the pressure from the Börde could not be underestimated. Lilliy Folger finally tied the game at 24:24. In the last ten seconds, SG Börde had the opportunity to win, but they were unable to take advantage.
Lara Al Najem-Herrig expressed dissatisfaction with her own performance after the game, while the goalscorers for the HSG had an impressive record: Hemke scored 6 goals, followed by Bachmann with 7/5 converted seven meters and Ahrens, who contributed 3 goals.
