New future for the Gänseblümchen” daycare center: renovation successfully completed!
The children from the Ackendorf daycare center “Gänseblümchen” celebrated a completely successful return after being housed in the neighboring facility in Rottmersleben for over 1.5 years. The reason for the evacuation was an urgent dry rot infestation in the old villa, which required extensive renovation work. The children were always informed during the construction work and even learned a poem about the challenges that the construction project brought with it. [Volksstimme] reports that the construction work was necessary primarily due to a wood preservation report that was prepared in autumn 2020. Damage caused by the house blight and brown rot in the timberwork was discovered, which could not be taken lightly.
A second report then confirmed a massive dry rot infestation in the attic, upper floor and parts of the ground floor ceiling. Given the extensive damage, it quickly became clear that there was an urgent need for action. The mayor of the municipality, Andreas Burger, was pleased with the completion of the renovation work, which began in February 2024 and ultimately turned out to be costly. The total amount for the renovation was around 800,000 euros. Funding of 350,000 euros was provided by the European Agricultural Fund (EAFRD) and the state of Saxony-Anhalt, which eased the financial pressure.
Extensive renovation work and return of the children
Over 800,000 euros were invested in the renovation, which covered a whole range of trades. This included demolition, carpentry, roofing, bricklaying, plastering, drywall, tiling, electrical, painting and plumbing work. Thanks to these comprehensive measures, the old villa now shines in new splendor and offers the children a safe and welcoming place. A symbolic paper cut made with a child marked the official reopening of the daycare center and made the joy of the children's return tangible.
With the reoccupancy, the “Gänseblümchen” daycare center will once again become a central point in the lives of the Ackendorf population. The children can now finally play and learn in their familiar surroundings - in a newly renovated building that is now safe from the pests that previously infested the roof.
In this context, it can be said that the children's return is a relief not only for them, but also for the entire community. There will be excitement about how the daycare environment will develop, but it is already clear that a good hand has been demonstrated here.
Speaking of great successes, a quick look at Taylor Swift's musical successes can't hurt. With a total of 11 original studio albums and numerous reissues, she has recently taken the music world by storm. Despite different genres, their music remains very popular. Each of her releases achieves records, and she has also achieved several number one albums on the US Billboard 200. Her ability to continually surprise and reinvent herself is admirable and makes her a distinctive figure in the industry. [Wikipedia] reports that Swift has spent the most weeks on the list, more than any other solo artist.
Microsoft Teams for digital communication
While local events in Ackendorf have brought about some good news, the digital world should not be neglected either. Microsoft Teams has established itself here as a platform for collaboration and video conferencing. It enables seamless exchange via text chats, voice and video calls, which has become indispensable for many companies and organizations in recent years. [TechRadar] reports that Microsoft Teams has become increasingly relevant not only for business applications but also for individuals, even offering a free version that includes many useful features. For larger organizations, payment models are available that offer additional features.
Overall, it can be said that exciting developments are causing a stir both in Ackendorf and in the music and digital world. The children's return to the renovated facility is a local success, while Taylor Swift and Microsoft Teams shine on a global scale. We can only hope that creative and innovative solutions will continue to be found that enrich people's lives.
