Great atmosphere at the Bördemove: Lamstedt celebrates despite the start delay!

On August 25, 2025, Lamstedt will once again be transformed into a vibrant festival mile when the annual Bördemove event enlivens the streets. There was great anticipation of the move, but the official start had to be delayed due to a failure on the part of the company commissioned to provide medical support. The German Red Cross stepped in at short notice and ensured the safety of the participants, so that the parade could finally begin under the supervision of Mayor Manfred Knust and Head of Administration Frank Springer.

The atmosphere was exuberant: loud music accompanied the procession while sweets and drinks were distributed to the spectators. There was a large crowd on the sides of the road, and the fire brigade and the marching band of the Schüttdamm-Isensee shooting club attracted attention. The participants presented their imaginative cars with good humor and a lot of joy.

Safety precautions in focus

Safety plays a central role at events like the Bördemove. From vehicle construction to insurance, participants have to take strict requirements into account. All cars must have motor vehicle liability insurance and be on Hemsothstrasse at least 30 minutes before the start. When selecting the motto, care must also be taken to ensure that no discriminatory content appears, which is taken seriously in order to maintain the respectful character of the event.

Another challenge was safety during the move. Unfortunately, the children found themselves close to tractors and trailers, which caused some concern. To ensure safety standards, two stewards were assigned to each car, and an accompanying person wearing a high-visibility vest was provided to ensure that the distances between the vehicle combinations were maintained.

Creative floats and honors

At the end of the moving parade, the best performance was awarded. The jury recognized “Die Kövener” as the winner for their creative “Saloon”. Other notable floats included “My Little Farm,” “Construction Site” and “Wild West.” Even though some floats arrived late or were unable to take part due to an unauthorized theme, most participants were ready and happily celebrated the parade.

The positive feedback on the event shows how important such events are for the community. Nevertheless, the city and the organizers attach great importance to safety, which should not be taken lightly. Therefore, preventive measures continue to be taken to minimize possible dangers and offer participants a safe and carefree experience.
