Bavaria starts digital planning revolution: This way, diplanation changes everything!

Dessau-Roßlau, Deutschland - In Bavaria, the roll-out of a new digital planning and participation platform called Diplanung is currently in full swing. On July 7, 2025, the Bayern -wide rolling out in Augsburg was started with a first introductory event, and the anticipation for the upcoming events is great. The initiators of this innovative platform are the Bavarian State Ministry of Housing, Construction and Transport. It lies the foundation for modern, networked administration and enables faster cooperation between municipalities, authorities, planning offices and many other actors. According to municipality21 , diplanation will significantly increase efficiency and transparency in planning processes and simplify public participation.

The platform offers a solid basis for the structured and loss -free exchange of data and processes. In order to actively involve the citizens in the planning, events are carried out across Bavaria. The ministry has also provided extensive information and training offers that are available on the website digital.planung.bayern.de . Here you can find explanatory videos, specialist publications and important information on coming events.

New funding program and data standard

In addition to the introduction of diplanation, the state funding program "Xplanbonus Bayern" will be launched, which offers municipalities until the end of 2026 grants for the creation of planning works in the innovative data standard Xplanung. This central component of the program enables digital plans to be created free of media and machine -readable. This not only benefits efficiency, but also creates more transparency in the planning process, as is shown on digital.planung.bayern.de

But what does that mean specifically for the municipalities? The scope of the "Digital Planning Bavaria" program helps to implement new legal and professional requirements, and focuses on a clear focus on land use planning, planning approval as well as spatial and regional planning. Minister of Construction Christian Bernreiter emphasizes that the challenge is to use the potential of digitization in a targeted manner and to better involve the citizens.

Network offensive for municipalities

To make it easier to get started for the municipalities, the network offensive "Digital Planning Bavaria" was launched. With model projects and network meetings in all government districts, municipalities gain valuable experiences. The response to the events is consistently positive, and numerous municipalities have already been appointed as a competence partner. For Upper Bavaria, this includes cities such as Dachau, Ingolstadt, Munich, and Haar. In the other regions, there are also many active communities that together make their way to a future -proof planning. A complete list of competence partners is also available on the website of bayern.de

With diplanung and the accompanying programs, Bavaria shows how digital solutions can revolutionize urban and spatial planning. It remains exciting how the implementation of the digital platform will progress in the coming months and what positive effects this will have for the citizens and the administration.
