Triumph Tiger Sport 800: The new mid-range all-rounder impresses!

The motorcycle manufacturer Triumph recently introduced the Tiger Sport 800, a new model that is causing a stir not only in the middle class. The Tiger Sport 800 offers riders the ideal combination of performance and comfort and is a serious competitor in its class.

What is the Tiger Sport 800 all about? This machine is based on a newly developed engine series with a liquid-cooled three-cylinder engine that develops an impressive power of 115 hp (84.6 kW) at 10,750 rpm and provides a maximum torque of 84 Nm at 8,500 rpm. The displacement of 798 cc ensures powerful performance and makes it a real athlete among touring motorcycles. Compared to the Tiger Sport 660, the 800 version has 34 hp and 20 Nm more to offer, as well as 138 cubic centimeters of additional displacement, which certainly justifies the price difference of 2300 euros Motorcycle and travel reported.

Chassis and ergonomics

The Tiger Sport 800 cuts an excellent figure on the road. The sporty chassis with a short wheelbase ensures precise steering behavior, which is an advantage when leaning in curves. The Showa fork at the front with a diameter of 41 mm, combined with a central spring strut at the rear, offers both stability and comfort with a travel of 150 mm. With a weight of only 214 kg and a tank capacity of 18.6 liters, the machine is easy to handle even on longer journeys. Consumption is very efficient at around 4.7 to 4.9 liters per 100 kilometers, which enables a range of over 350 kilometers, explained Triumph Motorcycles.

The ergonomically designed seat is another plus, even if the padding is a bit short for pillion riders. Driving modes such as Rain, Road and Sport offer optimized adaptation to different road conditions and increase safety through lean angle-dependent traction control and cornering ABS. Overall, a successful combination that is suitable for both sporty rides and touring.

Security and technology

The safety features are also a highlight of the new model. In addition to the uninterrupted cruise control and the standard quickshifter, the robust braking system with double disc brakes at the front and a single brake at the rear ensures maximum safety. Please note that the USB port must be ordered as additional equipment. The instrumentation is user-friendly, although the selected driving mode is not permanently displayed.

The price for the Triumph Tiger Sport 800 in Austria is 12,995 euros. This motorcycle therefore offers an excellent price-performance ratio, especially when you take into account the extensive standard equipment and modern technical features. A good hand when choosing a motorcycle could be guaranteed here!

Overall, the Tiger Sport 800 represents a successful mix of sports motorcycle performance and touring comfort. It impresses with its excellent engine performance, modern technology and well-thought-out ergonomics and could become the new favorite machine for many motorcycle lovers.
