The future is taking shape – construction work has started on a new functional building for 1. FC Magdeburg. Directly behind the imposing Avnet Arena The first excavators are seen preparing the site for the ambitious project.

A modern building is planned that will benefit the FCM professionals and the HB-Immobilien Young Talent Center (NLZ). The equipment will be state-of-the-art, with changing rooms and fitness areas, medical rooms as well as administrative and analysis areas. The building is expected to be completed within a year, which should further promote the club's long-term sporting development and professional infrastructure he reports.

The Avnet Arena itself, the largest stadium in Saxony-Anhalt, was inaugurated in 2006. In place of the Ernst Grube Stadium, which was demolished in 2004, a modern football stadium with a capacity of 30,098 seats was built.
