Exciting fundraising campaign: 13,000 euros for ASB wishes in Magdeburg!

A strong sign of solidarity was set on the AVNET Arena last Sunday: The Facebook group "Christian Beck-Our Legend" handed over an impressive sum of 13,000 euros to the ASB wish car Magdeburg. This sum represents the highest single amount that was collected for the voluntary project this year. But that's not all: In the past four years, a total of 32,000 euros have already flowed to social projects. The 1. FC Magdeburg reports on the very special occasion.

The fundraising campaign, which comes up with a special donation mechanism, attracts more and more donors. For every goal the striker Christian Beck scores, the supporters pay two euros in a donation pig. This idea has established itself in the football community and the fan club "Block 8" also participated in the campaign.

wishes come true

The ASB wish car has a very special mission: it fulfills the heart of people who are in the last phase of life. ASB Magdeburg informs that each trip takes place with a specially equipped car. This not only offers modern emergency medical equipment, but also a mirrored all -round glazing that grants passengers an unforgettable panoramic view of the environment.

The volunteers who accompany the trips ensure that the wishes come true for time together with relatives or friends. Whether visits to the stadium or visits to the garden - the wish trips have already brought joy to countless people. The wish car is therefore a shadow of humanity and friendliness.

commitment in difficult times

parallel to the campaign for the desirable car, Caritas is involved in another important area: supporting refugee families. The focus here is to impart volunteers who help families in difficult life situations. Caritas describes how these family sponsors support the arrival and integration of families in Germany. Often these are single parents or large families who rely on help. Through individual support in a familiar framework, help for self -help is provided.

From the handover of the donations to the diverse projects that take place in Magdeburg and the surrounding area, it is clear that volunteering has a boom. Whether with small or large donations, the support of social projects remains a valuable asset in our community. It is therefore no wonder that the donor group has already launched a new challenge for the coming 2025/26 season. A good knack for solidarity always pays off.
