FCM starts with a new trainer Fiedler: An electrifying start!

Magdeburg, Deutschland - Today, on June 23, 2025, the first training day of 1st FC Magdeburg took place in the Magdeburg stadium for the new season preparation. Around 150 spectators came to experience the events on site. The new coach Markus Fiedler, who was the last to enter the square and took the time to take autographs, ensured a positive atmosphere right from the start.

At 11 a.m. the training started and the team was able to draw on full staff. Participation by full -back Marcel Zajusch (18) and goalkeeper Felix Güldner (19), who both do not yet have a professional contract, was particularly interesting. Another eye -catcher was Nick Meier, the only new addition of the team that was immediately integrated into the training.

The returnees after their borrowing, Andi Hoti, Robert Leipertz and Aleksa Marusic, were also able to take part in training again. It was particularly gratifying that Herbert Bockhorn and Emir Kuhinja, both after cruciate ligament tears last season, were back. The team is therefore in good shape what gives hope for the upcoming season.

As part of the general preparations for the season, which start in many places at the beginning of the summer vacation, the amateur footballers in the region have also entered their training programs. This affects not only the seniors, but also the A and B juniors. In cooperation with licensed coaches, the DFB trainer magazine Football Training has created a comprehensive 5-week training program that makes the players fit for the new season.

The program includes specific content for every training day, whereby the focus is on conditional aspects and technical-tactical content. Topics such as the opening of the player through the chain of four and the game structure over the central midfield are central components of the training plan. The training content for the first five weeks is available for download online, which is useful support for everyone involved.

With all of these preparations, the 1. FC Magdeburg is on the right track to make the leap forward in the coming season. The first impressions make it clear: there is something! The fans can be excited to see how the team will develop under the new line.
