Magdeburg's music scene has developed remarkably in the last few weeks, and July 2025 in particular offers some exciting events. On July 5th, the Volksbad Buckau will be the venue for a rousing concert by the award-winning Australian singer-songwriter Kaurna Cronin and his band perform. Cronin has made a name for himself by combining traditional folk elements with a modern rock energy, bringing emotional depth to his music.

Dekker, known from the indie duo Rue Royal, released his solo debut “Slow Reveal” in 2020 and found his footing with “Future Ghosts” (March 2024). His new record is scheduled to be released in fall 2025. Fans of indie folk can look forward to a particularly successful evening here.

And if you like something a little more fast-paced, you should watch the Berlin band's concert Eight buckets of chicken hearts not to be missed on July 25th. This punk trio, formed in 2018, is a breath of fresh air with their musical style described as “nylon punk.” After the release of their fourth album “Lieder”, the concert will also take place in the Datsche from 8 p.m.
