The Wartburg Cup 2025 is just around the corner and SC Magdeburg has big plans. The team travels to Eisenach to take part in this exciting tournament, which takes place from August 15th to 17th in the Werner-Aßmann-Halle. This event not only offers testing challenges, but also the opportunity to test your form before the regular season starts. SCM reports of three test matches in which the boys want to prove their skills against strong opponents.
A total of three matches are on the program within three days. The opponents should not be underestimated: the hosts ThSV Eisenach, the first Bundesliga team TBV Lemgo Lippe and the Danish team Skanderborg AGF. Omar Ingi Magnusson, a key player at SC Magdeburg, says that the main thing is to improve fine-tuning and reduce errors. “We are willing to win,” says Magnusson, emphasizing the team’s attitude.
