Unemployment in Saxony-Anhalt: Slight decline in October!
There is good news in Saxony-Anhalt: the number of unemployed fell slightly in October 2025. Concrete figures show that around 85,900 people are unemployed, which means a decrease of around 900 people compared to the previous month. The unemployment rate is now 7.7 percent, a decrease of 0.1 percentage points compared to September this year. Regional differences
There are significant regional differences in the unemployment rate in Saxony-Anhalt. The Mansfeld-Südharz district is the region with the highest rate at 9.8 percent, followed by Halle (9.6 percent) and the Stendal and Dessau-Roßlau districts, where both regions have a rate of 9.2 percent. On the other hand, there are regions with significantly lower rates, such as the Börde with 5.3 percent and the Harz with 5.9 percent.

The labor market as a whole

It remains to be seen whether the positive trend of falling unemployment figures can continue and what measures will be taken to further stimulate the labor market and make it easier for older and long-term unemployed people to return to work.
