The creation of these parking spaces is part of a comprehensive interface program that has existed since 1996 and aims to link means of transport. So far, funding projects have been implemented at 120 train stations, which together have mobilized around 137 million euros in support services. Around 5.5 million euros are planned for the current financial year and a further 3.5 million euros for 2026 to further advance the efforts.

The concept shows how important well-thought-out traffic planning is. It enables commuters to not only enjoy the advantages of a car, but also of public transport. Through investments and close cooperation between those responsible - from the city planning office to transport companies - the offer can be continuously improved.
