Sylbitz with a new sound: Anton Thieme presents an audio guide for his town!
Something interesting is happening in Sylbitz: Tino Schaaf, a committed member of the Petersberg local council, has released a new song that should open everyone's ears. But it's not just musical sounds that are the focus; 13-year-old student Anton Thieme has also made a name for himself with his creative project.
Anton has created an audio guide about his hometown that offers walkers exciting insights into the history of Sylbitz. **Why is this so relevant?** The audio guide highlights six significant places in the village and brings many stories to life. Together with his friend Nora, Anton wrote the texts and even set up his own website, which serves as a central contact point for visitors.
Insights into Sylbitz
The technology Anton used for his audio guide comes from the Open Canal in Wettin. QR codes will be attached to the posts at six stations, allowing visitors to find out more about the respective places directly on site. This innovative approach has the potential to revitalize the village and spark interest beyond its borders.
From Saturday 16 August, from 1pm, the audio guide will be available online and will also be accessible on site and via a digital tour. The website contains not only the audio contributions, but also photos and important information about parking options to make the visit even more pleasant. Anton is very excited to see how the people of Sylbitz and the visitors react to his project. He has already received positive feedback.
The next steps
But Anton still has big plans. He would also like to develop audio guides for other towns in Petersberg or Wettin-Löbejün. He is actively looking for people from Sylbitz who can help him with information from the region. Most of his sources come from a documentary and the Internet, but it would be great to gain even more personal insight.
In a world that is often characterized by hectic everyday lives, such projects remind us of the importance of appreciating the small peculiarities in one's environment. Anton and Tino show that with passion and creativity you can have a positive influence on the community. We can't wait to see what other stones Anton adds to his audio guide chain. There really is something going on in Sylbitz!
