Saxony-Anhalt Day 2026: Börde invites you – join in and have fun!

From June 5th to 7th, 2026, Bernburg (Saale) will be the venue for the 24th Saxony-Anhalt Day, and the Börde district is calling on all actors to take part. As landkreis-boerde.de reports, interested associations, regional companies, authorities or projects can register until October 24, 2025. The motto “Where Saxony-Anhalt meets” refers to the opportunities for exchange and encounters in these exciting times.

The event returns to its roots, as Bernburg hosted the first Saxony-Anhalt Day in 1996. This time the city is opening its doors to a diverse program that presents Saxony-Anhalt's strengths in the areas of culture, sport, business and politics - a true stage for the state! There's a lot on offer in these three days and the anticipation is already growing.

Participate and help shape things

The Börde district would like to contribute to the festival with its own appearance. The actors are invited to get involved through various offerings such as stage programs, a parade or thematic presentations. Interested parties can register and submit applications on the website landkreis-boerde.de. If you have any questions, you can contact the employees directly on 03904 7240-1440 or -1257.

The event not only appeals to the residents, but also traditionally attracts guests from other federal states. According to bernburg.de, this once again emphasizes the unifying power of celebration and exchange. Given the challenges that the last few years have brought with them, we wish for an unforgettable celebration full of joy and lightness.

Insight into history

Saxony-Anhalt Day was launched by the state government in 1996 and has since developed into one of the largest folk festivals in Saxony-Anhalt. It is more than just a celebration; it is a platform to introduce the regions and show what the country has to offer. The festival has already attracted large numbers of visitors in the past, as Wikipedia shows. Here are some of the previous events and their attendance figures:
