Stealing stolen goods in Aschersleben: Young person has to pay a fine of 225 euros!

On Tuesday, July 8, 2025, an interesting verdict was announced in the Aschersleben district court as part of the “SLK live” news blog. A 22-year-old from Aschersleben sold a laptop even though he knew full well that it didn't belong to him. The young man had received the laptop as a thank you for activating a smartphone and realized that he was involved in the stolen goods. The court sentenced him to a fine of 225 euros, which consisted of 15 daily rates of 15 euros each. The verdict is not yet final. Volksstimme reports about it.

But not only legal cases are on the list of events in the Salzland district. The youth advisory board in Staßfurt was actively involved in several meetings, although there were challenges in working with the city. This shows how important engaged youth are for the community.

News from Calbe and Wolmirsleben

An interesting project is taking shape: a new penny market is being built on Barbyer Street in Calbe. The old building has already been demolished to make room for the new building. This development pleases the residents because a good supermarket nearby makes life much easier.

There is also a dispute over the closure of the campsite at Schachtsee in Wolmirsleben, which also affects swimming in the lake. The community is asked to find a solution that does justice to everyone involved.

Courts and their tasks

The Aschersleben district court, where the verdict against the young man was passed, has far-reaching tasks. As the receiving court, it is responsible for numerous civil legal disputes - and is therefore definitely relevant for local citizens. This concerns claims up to a value of 5,000 euros as well as child support and maintenance matters. In addition, the court acts as an enforcement and insolvency court as well as a probate and guardianship court. Justiz Sachsen-Anhalt provides an overview of the various departments and their tasks.

The opening hours of the district court are designed to make access easier for all citizens. You can stop by Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and also on Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Please note that security checks when entering the building may take a few minutes. AG ASL provides detailed information about this.
