Shocking news for Bernburg: Bakery closes, fresh rolls gone!

There is currently a lot to report in Bernburg and the surrounding area. The local news ticker “SLK live” always keeps citizens up to date and provides them with current information from the region. Readers recently learned of a sad closure: the bakery branch on the market will no longer offer fresh bread rolls starting next week. This is a bitter loss for many, because the journey to the fragrant baked goods is one of the little joys of everyday life.

But that's not enough. There was an attempted vehicle theft in Aschersleben last Saturday. Teenagers were seen trying to open a car at a supermarket. Police are appealing for information about witnesses who may have seen something. Also in the city of Bernburg, a parked car on Franzstrasse was stolen with the original key because the owner had left it at the front door. The vehicle later reappeared in the parking lot of the PEP market on Kalistrasse. Unfortunately, the driver, a 35-year-old, not only did not have a valid driving license, but also had a positive drug test. Investigations were also initiated here, as Magdeburg klickt can report.

Health care and emergency services

Despite the technology-related challenges at the Ameos clinics in the Salzland district, the emergency room remains accessible to patients without any restrictions. An IT failure raises questions, but medical care is still guaranteed. This shows once again how important well-functioning emergency structures are in the region.

Another sad event in the region concerns an injured man on Oststrasse who reported that a bicycle had been stolen. The police are also investigating and looking for information about this incident.

Social initiatives and local events

Among the positive news, an impressive donation stands out: the municipal housing construction company handed over 1,100 euros to the “Blue Nose Helps” association to help a seven-month-old girl with leukemia. Such initiatives show how strong the sense of community is in Bernburg and the surrounding area.

The anticipation of local festivals also remains a big theme. Plans are already being made for the first weekend in August around the local festivals in Hohenerxleben and Osmarsleben. But the annual bathtub race in Ilberstedt on August 3rd also causes excitement - with a bit of luck, Wermelden wants to bring home the 50 euro incentive for his watercraft!

The local art scene is currently admiring the Neo Rauch exhibition at the Graphic Foundation, which shows drawings by the artist from 1965 to 1968. A must for art lovers!

Stay tuned for more news from the region and don't forget to get actively involved in the community, be it by donating blood, participating in local festivals or making small donations for those in need. This small act of kindness can often have a big impact.
