Deadly house fire in Aschersleben: investigations underway!
A serious house fire caused horror in a semi-detached house in Aschersleben on Monday, June 30, 2025. In the Salzland district, the fire brigade was alerted at around 6 a.m. after initial reports suggested that a resident was still in the building. Despite the emergency services' quick response, access to the affected apartment was initially problematic. The fire brigade had to force open the front door and, tragically, a dead person was found in the living room. According to the police, the forensic medicine department still has to clarify whether this is the resident. Fortunately, there were no other injuries. The second half of the semi-detached house is temporarily uninhabitable due to the damage, and the resident is staying with friends for the time being. Around 60 firefighters were deployed and the police have started investigating the cause of the fire.
