Traffic chaos in the Salzland district: drug driving and speeding!

On Friday morning, speed controls in Aschersleben caused some excitement on Magdeburger Chaussee. During these checks, which took place in the direction of Winningen, a total of 46 vehicles passed. Three speeding violations were identified and the fastest driver was recorded at 79 km/h - significantly exceeding the maximum permitted speed of 50 km/h. Warning and fine notices will be sent out in the coming days, so some road users can expect a surprise in their mailbox in the next few days, as Magdeburg Klickt reports.

On Friday afternoon, the driving ability of a 35-year-old driver was checked on Luisenplatz in Staßfurt. There were signs of drug use, which was confirmed by a positive rapid test. The police ordered a blood sample to be taken to secure evidence and banned the driver from driving for 24 hours. The driving license office will also be informed, which could potentially have serious consequences for the person concerned.

Driving without a valid driver's license

Also in Staßfurt, an investigation was initiated on Friday afternoon against a 39-year-old driver who was driving without a valid driving license. He was banned from continuing his journey on Liethestrasse and proceedings were opened. It is important to know that driving without a license is considered a criminal offense according to Section 21 StVG. Depending on the situation, penalties can range from fines to prison sentences, as ADAC explains. It becomes particularly critical if someone allows you to drive without permission, because then the vehicle owner is also liable.

Along with these incidents, there were also speed checks in Calbe on Friday evening. Here, on Brumbyer Weg in the direction of the town exit, four speeding violations were detected out of 12 vehicles passing by. The fastest driver was recorded at 60 km/h, although only 30 km/h is allowed here. In this case, too, those affected can expect a fine notice in the next few weeks.

Burglary and theft

In Schönebeck, a theft of two official license plates on Dornburger Straße in Pretzien was reported on Saturday morning. The period of the theft was between Friday, 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, 10:00 a.m. The police have launched a manhunt and are asking for information about the perpetrators.

While in Calbe between September 30th and October 4th, an empty apartment building was the target of a burglary, where, among other things, copper pipes and an electronic control box were stolen. The estimated damage from theft is around 5,000 euros. Here too, the police are hoping for relevant information.

Such rule violations and criminal offenses show how important it is to act responsibly on the road and to respect the applicable laws. The consequences are particularly serious in connection with drug-fueled driving and can range from high fines to driving bans, as Polizeiberatung informs.
