In Saxony-Anhalt the weather at the weekend shows its varied side! While temperatures will climb up to 30 degrees on Saturday, there will be a significant change in the weather on Sunday.
On Friday the day starts very cloudy, but in the afternoon there is a little clearing up, which brings with it the occasional thunderstorm, especially in the Altmark. Local heavy rain of up to 20 liters per square meter is possible here, like this MZ reported. For Saturday night, the weather can be expected to be largely dry, although isolated patches of fog could form. The temperatures drop to a pleasant 11 to 15 degrees.
Surprise on Saturday
It could still be hazy on Saturday morning, but afterwards the sun will shine with temperatures between 27 and 30 degrees. The weather situation will be characterized by warm, humid weather from a low over Eastern Europe, such as the DWD shows, make it mild. On Sunday night, however, it will become cloudier again and the first showers can already be expected in the area between the Harz and southern Saxony-Anhalt.
Sunday will then be of a completely different caliber: with temperatures around 29 degrees, a little cooler in the Harz at 24 to 27 degrees, we have a day full of weather surprises ahead of us. The forecast shows changing sun and clouds for the afternoon, accompanied by showers and strong thunderstorms. There is even a certain potential for severe weather, as is the case Weather.com warns. In some cases, local heavy rain is expected, which can result in amounts of up to 25 liters per square meter in a very short time.

Another freak weather forecast is on the way for Monday. The outlook points to cloudy weather with further showers and thunderstorms moving through Saxony-Anhalt from the northwest. Some heavy rainfall with squalls and hail is also possible here.
