Innovative water treatment: Inflotec from Wolmirstedt wins Aura Award 2025
On October 8th, 2025 the time has finally come: Inflotec GmbH from Wolmirstedt, Börde district, was awarded the first AURA Award 2025, and that's no picnic! The prize, which was awarded by the Environment Minister Prof. Dr. Armin Willingmann, honors companies that really make an effort when it comes to sustainability. The company, founded in 2020, specializes in the development of modern water treatment and wastewater treatment systems. These ultra-modern systems are characterized by energy efficiency and at the same time conserve valuable resources. Magdeburg Klickt reports that Inflotec not only saves water but also emissions.
The managing director Martina Findling sees the award as confirmation of her entrepreneurial orientation. Your colleague Martin Drewes plans to further optimize the systems and to rely on energy efficiency, automation and modular uses. These systems can be integrated both in industry and in municipalities and help to significantly reduce the environmental footprint: less fresh water consumption, lower amounts of wastewater, low energy use and reduced CO₂ emissions are the results of these clever technologies.
The AURA Award: A prize with insight
The AURA Award has a clear goal: to promote sustainable entrepreneurship in Saxony-Anhalt. The prize has existed since 2013 and was relaunched in 2024 with a new focus on sustainability. The prize is aimed at small and medium-sized companies that not only produce energy efficiently, but also use renewable energies and recycle raw materials. Applications are possible until April 25, 2025, and the winners will be selected by a jury who will then be honored by Minister Willingmann. Zukunftsland emphasizes that the AURA Award is a real highlight: In addition to a certificate and an image film worth around 3,000 euros, there is also a prize made from local wood - your heart might even jump a little when it is presented!
But sustainability is not just a buzzword. Trends in water treatment are constantly developing in exactly this direction. The demand for modern water treatment technologies has increased rapidly in recent years. More and more companies and communities are relying on resource-saving technologies that cover water needs and at the same time act ecologically and economically. The Wissenschronik shows that the integration of renewable energies and intelligent monitoring systems will play a central role in the future of water treatment.
With an annually growing market and a focus on innovative solutions, companies like Inflotec show how important it is to face the challenges of the times. The combination of modern technology and environmental protection not only ensures better water quality, but also sustainable economic activity, which in the long term benefits both sides, the environment and the company.
