Stendal, Deutschland - On June 21, 2025, the signs stand for environmental protection: In Magdeburg, an impressive garbage collection campaign for Day of the Environment took place on June 5. Under the motto "Our water in charge", 38 employees of the Magdeburg main customs office were involved in making a sign of the importance of the environment.
A total of 11 teams were formed, which collected waste for an hour in various cities of Saxony-Anhalt-including Magdeburg, Stendal and Sangerhausen. Surprisingly, they were able to fill 42 garbage bags of 120 liters, including not only conventional waste, but also bizarre major waste such as a night cabinet, a dishwasher and even car tire. Sebastian Schultz, spokesman for the main customs office, was impressed by the amount and variety of waste collected and underlined the importance of such actions. Nora Stiller, the head of the main customs office, also thanked the participants and the environmental management team for their commitment.
