Universitätsplatz 11, 06108 Halle (Saale), Deutschland - In Halle, art will soon be celebrated in all its facets. On July 1, 2025, the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (MLU) opens the exciting exhibition "The Printed Gallery. Graphics in the University". This show is the product of a seminar at the Institute for Art History, Archaeologies and Classic Antiquity, which was created in cooperation with the central custody custody. The opening takes place at 6 p.m. in the lion building, in the special exhibition room on the 1st floor, and will delight visitors: inside with a variety of artistic reproductions.
A special treat: The exhibition is enriched with graphics by the well -known artist Moritz Götze. The artist, born in 1964, who is on the international art stage as Ambassador Saxony-Anhalt, has made a name for itself with his colorful, ironic pictures, which often address political and social issues. Götze, who lives and works in Halle, brings a fresh wind to the exhibition with his works. Six master students in art history have dealt intensively with pressure graphics, their history and the various reproductive methods. The results of her research are presented in the exhibition, which will be shown from July 2 to November 9, 2025. But that's not all: on July 4th, as part of the long night of sciences, the students offer special tours. Between 5:30 p.m. and 6.30 p.m. and from 9:30 p.m. to 10.30 p.m., guests have the opportunity to learn more about the works shown and the background of the exhibition.

Moritz Götze is a true unicum in the current art scene. His artistic journey began as an action artist in the mid-1980s, and since then he has already carried out 34 exhibitions in countries such as New Zealand, Australia, New York and Athens worldwide. In addition to his artistic activity, he is also the founder of the Hasenverlag and has profiled himself as a self -taught. It is impressive that it comes from an artist household, which certainly had an impact on its development.
In his work, Götze deals historical events from Central Germany and reflects everyday topics. Particularly noteworthy are the work that is painted on enamel and burned at 800 degrees, which gives its pictures a very special touch. The artist is considered committed and uncomfortable, which not only brought him respect, but also a loyal followers.
