Autumnal hike: looking for apples around the Kapenschlösschen!
Autumn trips into nature are just around the corner! The Nabu local group Gräfenhainichen invites you to an exciting hike around the Kapenschlösschen in Oranienbaum-Wörlitz next Sunday. With a route of around nine kilometers, nature lovers can enjoy the autumnal beauty of the landscape and learn more about the local flora.
The meeting point is at 10 a.m. at the parking lot in front of the Friedwald. Participants should not forget to take food and appropriate clothing with them in order to be well prepared for the day. A special highlight of the hike will be the fruit trail, where, with a bit of luck, participants can taste fresh apples. This active exploration is intended to introduce participants to nature and enable them to notice the plants and their changes over the course of the year.
About the Nabu local group
The Nabu local group Gräfenhainichen was only founded a year ago and now has a permanent core of around eight committed members. They meet once a month to plan future activities. Monthly hikes are an integral part of their program. In addition to the excursions, the members also take on the natural care of an urban property in Gräfenhainichen, thereby promoting not only a sense of nature but also a sense of community. The next meeting will take place on November 6th at 6 p.m. at Gutenbergplatz 1b in Gräfenhainichen.
Let's take a look at the larger context: NABU, or Nature Conservation Association Germany, is one of the most traditional environmental organizations in Germany. With over 2,000 groups active nationwide, NABU is committed to protecting birds, insects and wetlands and offers numerous regional projects and species sponsorships. This shows that protecting nature and promoting environmental awareness are a task for society as a whole.
In the current environmental protection landscape, organizations like NABU work hand in hand with other large associations that are committed to protecting habitats and biodiversity, such as Greenpeace, BUND or WWF. These actors are crucial to promoting sustainable use of our resources and drawing attention to the dangers of climate change.
The next hike of the Gräfenhainichener NABU group is planned for November 16th. If you are interested in exploring nature together and making new acquaintances, you can contact the local group and become part of this wonderful initiative!
