The stand, filled with sweet treats, is located in a former wooden warehouse on Alten Wittenberger Straße and quickly blossomed into a popular destination. They not only offer classic vanilla and chocolate ice cream, but also slush ice cream in changing flavors. The idea behind the stand was no coincidence: "There is simply no ice in Pratau!" Where the candy comes from? The soft ice cream is prepared from a special ice mix in powder form from the "Anona" company from Colditz and costs between 1.50 euros for a small portion and 3 euros for a large one. From the surrounding area and even from further, for example from Jessen, the customers who look forward to a cool refreshment in the hot days. Eckel emphasizes that this is a hobby and not a classic business. Your passionate dedication is also reflected in the opening hours: during the week from 4.45 p.m., Fridays from 3:30 p.m. and on weekends from 11 a.m. Due to the beautiful weather, the hut is open every day from 11 a.m.
