After 21 years without connection to rail passenger traffic, Dörverden celebrated the significant reopening of his station on June 1, 2025. The Dörverden train station was the first in the All-Weser triangle in 1847 and played a central role in the regional connection.

The reopening in 2000 was the result of long -term efforts by the city and its citizens.
