On June 30, 2025, the double exhibition of Magdalena Musial opened in the Lauengalerie and in the socio-cultural center Steinhaus. Peschel, known from film and theater, tells of his artistic journey, which began in the late 1980s with painting. He first experimented on furniture and sheet metal tablets before integrating digital painting into his creative process since 2014. His style is expressive and often sums up existential questions. His image of a small white dog is particularly touching, which not only addresses loneliness, but also a need for protection. Musial, born in Częstochowa in 1968, brings with its large -format oil paintings to its own perspective on being human in nature.

The official opening of the exhibition will take place on June 14th at 5:00 p.m. in the Steinhaus, where the artists will be present personally. The second part of the exhibition in the Lauengalerie follows at 8:00 p.m. Visitors can look forward to a wild mix of portraits, drawings and classic oil work that cleverly make the differences and similarities of the two artists visible.

The invitation to the exhibition came from Thomas Kern, a friend of Peschel. The works were selected with a lot of intuition to bring the contrasts of their styles into their own. While Musial takes a little more time for her work, Peschel often approaches his topics expressively. His theater experience, including as a director at the Berlin Volksbühne, is certainly incorporating into his artistic perspectives.
