KunstBus brings cultural delights to Upper Lusatia on the August weekend!

There will be a very special event in Upper Lusatia on August 16th and 17th: the ArtBus rolls on! On both days from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., passengers can experience culture and art in a completely new way. Five selected stations are planned that will provide entertainment and colorful impressions.

The KunstBus is a successful idea that will captivate not only art enthusiasts but also music lovers. Among other things, a shuttle service will be availableUpper Lusatia Chamber Music Festivalare part of the program, which will kick off on August 16th at Gröditz Castle at 3 p.m. Here, music students from four music schools in the Upper Lusatia-Lower Silesia cultural area will show their skills and enchant visitors with sounds.

The KunstBus route takes passengers through five culturally valuable places:

• Herrnhut – mit dem Gottesacker und Völkerkundemuseum
• Zinzendorf-Schloss Berthelsdorf
• Stadtmuseum Löbau
• Schloss Krobnitz

Tours, exhibitions, readings and fascinating hands-on activities await visitors at every stop. During the journey, a colorful entertainment program with folk, tango, pop, blues and jazz will keep you in a good mood.

The ticket prices are also attractive: a ticket sold in advance costs 15 euros, while passengers who buy directly on the bus have to pay 20 euros. The trip is even free for children up to 14 years old! There is also an online offer: Anyone who purchases a combination ticket for the KunstBus and the Chamber Music Festival gets a 5 euro discount.

With the KunstBus event, an exciting project is being realized in Upper Lusatia for the 11th time Foundation for Art and Culture in Upper Lusatia is organized in collaboration with VVO and ZVON. Tickets are available on the KunstBus, in the web shop and at the cultural locations.

While Upper Lusatia celebrates its cultural treasures, we also look far beyond its borders. In the United States, the Space Shuttle Discovery, which played a central role in human spaceflight from 1981 to 2011, made history with 39 missions and an impressive 365 days in space. This remarkable achievement was in Air & Space Museum recorded where the shuttle is now on display for the public. Among other things, Discovery helped put the Hubble Telescope into operation and made numerous other scientific contributions.
