Radeberg in construction site fever: Massive street work start now!
Radeberg, Deutschland - in Radeberg something is happening! The low -traffic summer time is used to advance numerous construction sites in the city. As reports [Sächsische] (https://www.saechische.de/lokales/bautzen-lk/radeberg/gueterbahnhof-pillnitzer-Hauptstrasse-das-Sebergs-sommer-Sommer-Sommer-Summer-Summer-Summer-Sommer-Summer-Summer-Summer-Summer-Sommer-Summer-Summer-Summer-Summer-Summer-Summer-Summer-Beautiful, there are several street work that have already started or in the coming weeks will start.
At the top of the list is the broadband expansion in the main street. From Monday, July 7th to Monday, August 11th, the sidewalk area from the crossing area Röderstraße to the market will be renewed here. So that the whole thing runs smoothly, stop bans are set up in places.
renovation and renewal of streets
From July 14th, Pillnitzer Straße will also be renovated. The asphalt surface is renewed in three construction phases and a full closure can be expected. The first work extends from the roundabout to net entrance and cost around 160,000 euros. The work should be completed by August 11th.
But that's not all: the Ernst Braune settlement also needs attention. Here, the work for the renewal of sewage systems and road and sidewalk renovation begin. Ernst-Braune-Straße, Am Steinhübel and Heidewinkel are affected, and the construction period will continue until December, whereby the costs are estimated at around 1.1 million euros.
Another important construction phase concerns the Güterbahnhofstraße, whose second phase starts from August 11th. The road, mixed water canal and various lines are renewed here. Detours are planned because there will be a full closure. The construction work is expected to last until December 2025 and cost an estimated 2.2 million euros, with the Free State of Saxony promoting around 596,250 euros.
digital networking and infrastructure
A particularly interesting point is the fiber optic expansion in Radeberg, which according to Saxony Energie is also promoted. This will significantly improve the digital infrastructure of the city and support future developments.
traffic problems and bridge renovation
An additional topic that is currently moving the mind is the blocked bridge of Rathenaustraße across the railway tracks. This bridge is an important connection between the city center and the southern part of the city and has not been released for traffic since September of last year due to security concerns. Only pedestrians and cyclists are currently allowed to happen. A comprehensive bridge test is in progress, and Radeberg's mayor Frank Höhme expects a new building to be built in the medium to long term. The bridge is too low for the planned electrification of the railway line between Dresden and Görlitz, and a lowering of the tracks would be far too expensive.
The city administration is working on improving the situation for the residents and above all for the nursing staff who are faced with additional challenges every day. In emergency situations, the redirection represents a hurdle that needs to be overcome.
SoRadeberg faces some challenges, but also with exciting changes. The coming months will be decisive for the development of the city and the well -being of the citizens.
