Triumph in Poland: SC Hoyerswerda wins the Acro Cup!
The sports acrobats of SC Hoyerswerda recently celebrated impressive successes at the International Acro Cup in Rzeszów, Poland. On July 2, 2025, the athletes shined in the competitions and were able to celebrate three gold medals. The gold medalists include Lotte Tröster, Lea Schubert and Caroline Wieland, who secured first place in their category with 27.64 points. Johanna Schöne and Nona Kara also received a gold medal with 27.2 points. The mixed pair Lewis Gröllich and Milena Lalkov scored 27.8 points and rounded off the medal table. All three teams presented fantastic exercises that were convincing both in the qualifications and in the final.

Other talents from SC Hoyerswerda were also represented in the preparation for the competition, such as Sophia, Liora, Tia, Anna and the injured Tara. While the first three teams fought their way through qualification, Johanna and Nona impressed right from the start with a dynamic performance that earned them the highest number of points in their age group. Sports acrobatics Hoyerswerda draws a positive conclusion overall: all teams made it to the finals and were able to gain valuable experience.
The results in the qualifications were also remarkable. Johanna and Nona surprised with 26,750 points and clearly placed themselves in the top places. Sophia and Liora took second place in their age group behind Israel. Lotte, Lea and Caro finished in third place, just a few points behind the teams from Portugal and Azerbaijan. On the second day of competition, the teams improved their performance, even though Sophia and Liora lost their rhythm in the final and ultimately fell back to sixth place.
Achievements and outlook
The coaches, including Sergej Jeriomkin, who was able to reach the winner's podium three times for his successes, and the referee Sascha Jeriomkin, were visibly proud of the performances of their protégés. Sports acrobatics, a discipline that has deep roots in ancient Egypt and is now very popular in many countries, especially in Eastern Europe and China, shows its best side here.
